Matthew Turney
Talent Acquisition Advisor, Sr.


Matthew Turney spent almost 24 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.  During his time in the Marines, he held occupations of both Avionics and Career Recruiter before finishing his career at the rank of Master Sergeant. During his last months in the Marine Corps, Matt interviewed with Occidental Petroleum and was chosen to become a Talent Acquisition Advisor where he continues his passion for recruiting.      

 "Once my time in the Corps began coming to a close, I started searching for my next career.  Oxy immediately stood out.  I wasn't as concerned with the position as much as I was the company.  I was looking for growth and development and I felt Oxy's culture would allow me to do just that.  I've been fortunate and now as a member of Oxy's Military Hiring Program, I'm able to give back to the next generation of transitioning service members."


Candice Moore
Talent Acquisition Advisor, Sr.


Candice Moore has over 6 years' experience in talent acquisition with a special emphasis in the Oil & Gas industry. Candice is skilled in full cycle professional recruiting as well as specialized programs designed to enhance the recruiting efforts.  Currently Candice manages the Technical College Recruiting Program and collaborates on the Military Recruiting Program here at Oxy.



Mitch North
Supervisor Talent Acquisition EOR and Function Groups


Mitch North has 26 years' experience in the Recruiting industry working the Agency and Corporate arenas.  Before joining Oxy in 2014 he worked at Shell, Chevron and Statoil.  Currently Mitch supports the EOR and Functional Groups as a Supervisor and has managed the Oxy Military Recruiting program in the past.       


Susan Carlson-Hancock
Talent Acquisition Advisor, Sr.


Susan has been with Occidental since 2015 and has had numerous roles within the Talent Acquisition Team. She began serving on the Military Committee in 2016 and has been an active participant supporting analytics and traveling to military recruitment events around the United States.
