Oxy is one of the leading non-government-owned oil companies in Latin America. Operations in Argentina, Bolivia and Colombia provide approximately 13 percent of Oxy’s total worldwide production.
The company has operations at five Colombia oil fields, including Caño Limón, where Oxy celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008. At La Cira-Infantas field, with its large reserves, Oxy is applying enhanced oil recovery techniques to maximize production.
Oxy is utilizing aggressive drilling and waterflooding, as well as exploration projects, to achieve production growth in Argentina.
