Code of Business Conduct
On February 13, 1997, the Board of Directors adopted a comprehensive Code of Business Conduct applicable to all directors, officers and employees. The Code reaffirms Oxy’s commitment to high standards of ethical conduct and embodies Oxy’s business ethics, policies and procedures. As subsequently amended it includes Oxy's policies concerning, among other things, compliance with laws, rules and regulations (including insider trading laws), conflicts of interest (including corporate opportunities), protection of corporate assets and human rights. The Code explains the various ways that questions or concerns may be raised throughout Oxy, including reporting to supervisors, contacting specified Compliance Officers or using a toll-free compliance hotline. The Audit Committee of the Board is responsible for monitoring compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.
