the United States, the Middle East and Latin America.
We have chemical operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America

Oil and Gas Operations:
- U.S. operations are concentrated in California,
the Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico, and in Kansas
and Oklahoma. Oxy is
the largest natural gas producer in California and the largest
oil producer in Texas.
- In the Middle East, Oxy produces oil in
Oman, Qatar, Yemen, Libya, and is a partner in Dolphin Energy Limited
in the United Arab Emirates, a major transborder natural gas
project.
- Oxy is one of the leading oil companies in Latin America, with major producing operations in Colombia and Argentina.
Chemical Operations:
- OxyChem, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, operates chemical manufacturing plants at 26 sites in the United States. Many of the larger facilities are in the Gulf Coast region of Texas and Louisiana.
- All of OxyChem's manufacturing plants are owned.
- OxyChem operates two chemical manufacturing plants in Canada and one in Chile.
- OxyChem has a 50 percent equity investment in a Brazilian corporation that owns a chlor-alkali plant.
